Malta Motorways of the Sea is looking for:

Senior Technical Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Technical Superintendent to join our team. Managing our PCTC/Ro-Ro fleet, you will serve as the primary link between shore-based operations and the vessels,

taking full ownership of technical integrity, safety, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing complex maintenance programs, managing dry-docking projects, and ensuring compliance with Class standards and maritime regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Process on day-to-day basis authorization of repairs which are over allowed
• Management of assigned ship's budget
• Ensure planned maintenance on board of assigned ships
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as corporate policies and procedures
• Compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Meets shipping company needs and commitments
• Optimizing ship performances

Skills/duties/behavior:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or experience at least as 2nd engineer on board; or as superintendent
• Experience and knowledge in operating machinery and propulsion engines
• Experience and knowledge in operating ship's propulsion systems
• Knowledge of basic international ISM, IHM, safety , Loadline, MARPOL rules
• Fluency in both Maltese and English
• Highly organized
• Problem solving ability
• Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products (particularly Excel)
• Highly ethical Behavioral Competencies
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with integrity
